How is the connection between the Media players and Content Manager established?

Connection between the media player and Capital signs is a regular TCP/IP connection. For a Media Player to connect to Content Manager it must have its own user name and Password. Our network encrypts all usernames and passwords that are transmitted or stored. Health monitoring messages are also encrypted and job commands and responses are sealed as well. Media Players must have active internet connection for it to Connect to Content Manager.
